offset the unfortunate seeting headroom. This isn't to say that we suggest your back seet passengers fold down the rear seat and climb in through the back, but rather this one good point tends to offset a bad one. Our test car was equipped with all sorts of goodies. Such as air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, rear window defogger, AM/FM stereo radio tape deck combinateion, digital clock and tsk, tsk, an automatic transmission. These were just some of the creature comforts which can really turn this car into a nice driving machine. Of course, for those of you like myself, most of those creature comforts aren't necessary as they rob performance and most definitely increase the cost. As for the cost one is looking at a $5000-plus price tag the way this one was equipped.

As for the instrumentation, it was easy to read and a combination of guages, good, and idiot lights, bad! There is something very unnerving about driving around in a performance image, sproty minded car and wondering when is the idiot light going to come on. Instead I would like to see a coplete assortment of true-to-life numbered guages. If nothing else it gives you something else to look at!

While we are on the subject of compartments and their confort and accessibility, how about the engine compartment. At first glance even the bravest of hearts will flutter at the sight. It is pbvopis tjat a four-cylinder engine can be made to fit but how in Henry Ford's name they ever got a V8 with all the power accessories and various other "necessities" in there is amazing. But that is upon first glance. After awhile your eyeballs get accustoed to loking in a smaller relm. In all serousness, while it may be cramped the one item all of us woudl-be automotive enthusiasts check is spark plug availability. Not at the local parts store, 'cause they are there, but how easy is it or isn't it to change them in the car. Rest at ease. At least rest at a 7/8s' ease. For all the plugs on the driver side can be gotten to very easily and should be changed very rapidly. It is about the passenger side. With the air cleaner and hose assembly removed the first two forward plugs are very easy. Third back goets tough but for those of you with thin hands and long skinny arms this should be a snap as well. As for the last one, write me a letter and you tell me how you did it. If it is easier than my way I will steal your idea and ignore your letter. But if you even had more trouble than I, I will still
