About My Car
This is one lucky II.I have owned the mustang 3 times and sold it twice. The last time I bought it a fire had got under the hood, and the owner was going to send it to the salvage yard.
At this time I had an 84GT but every time I turned around someone had one just like it.I wanted to be different then the guys in my area. Then I heard the II was going real cheap.I got it for $200 with new headers and back bumper, lucky for me the owner haddn't called the salvage yard yet.
It all started with the simple plan of fixing the fire damage and repainting. From that it turned into a real big project. The quickest and easiest way to tell how far I went is to say every inch of the mustang has been repainted and at one point 3 people carried it out of the garage.
The only parts I diddn't do were the motor and tranny. The motor was built by A@J Automotive, the tranny by Rick Roods Transmission who are both sponsers of our stock car.
The body was in good shape, the suspension is all new as is the brakes, and all the lines including fuel lines.
The motor made 367HP running into a 3200 converter and T.C.I pro prepped C-4 turning a 3.40 posi.
After all the work it was finally ready for the color change inside and out. I went with blue to copy a II I had when I was 16 and wished I had never sold.
Last summer I took the mustang to the 1/4 mile and ran 13.76 but had traction problems I hope to improve that this year.
The first mustang show we went to the II got first place in it's class. What better praise can you get for your baby considering the whole project took about 10 months and a girlfriend.LOL
