About My Car
This is a German T5 II, powered by a 302 V8 and a C4 automatic. This is my first Mustang, bought in August 2003. This is still my most favorite, although it has the standard interior in tan. Compared to the Silver Ghia, her sheetmetal is in a far more better shape. Currently she misses a sand color vinyl top, the stuff which was on the roof when buying her, was not more than some stiff leftovers, so I pulled them immediately away. The rear bumper was quite crappy, so I replaced it with '76 bumper, completely restored from the inside. I'm planning though to switch this bumper to the '76 Silver Ghia and try to obtain a '78 bumper for my T5 II.
Some things were not original, such as the Mustang III-logo on the deck, the antenna on the rear left wing, the aftermarket speakers in the kickpanels, the rear speakers in sphere form behind the rear seat and a ring on the right rear fender, to which one can attach a CB antenna. The radio is a German Blaupunkt and I think this motor was originally delivered without radio and antenna, hence its place on the left rear wing. Most important thing on the T5 II are its special T5-badges, they're on this car! Under the hood you find the old original Ford Koln badge.
Further it got five options installed: pin stripes, wolfrace wheels, a smooth gas cap, the map light and the sport steering wheel. Is has no fold down rear seat. Because the front seats are teared on some places, I have to replace them with new seats. Also some fainted tan interior parts are to be replaced soon, so are the door panels. This car never made the Dutch roads yet, because of some trouble with the 302 V8. Maybe it is road ready next year...
